Peter Harrington
Peter has been a PGA professional for 35 years. Peter played professionally for 10 years full time and has coached the remainder. Peter brings a wealth of experience to the school as its founder and CEO. He is a master at his craft and a great communicator and motivator. Peter has worked extensively on the golf program structure we offer to give all students expert tuition and the opportunity to develop, long after their time at the school.
Our Golf School provides an elite clubfitting and a full repair service. Peter was recognized as one of the top 100 clubfitters and club repairers in Australia and has gained TPI accreditation.
His elite coaching knowledge has led the way for developing all of our golf school programs.
Peter currently is instrumental with ground breaking techniques in coaching blind and All Abilities golfers, working with these athletes including the 2019 Australian Open blind golf champion Glenn Niciejewski.
Lee Harrington
Lee has always been passionate about the game of golf and has shaped her career to become one of the country’s leading teaching professionals. Leading the way currently in coaching All Abilities athletes and developing programs and events to provide the opportunity for golf to be a highly accessible sport for all.
After finishing high school at Peak Hill she went to University and studied Physical Education. It was there that Lee decided she wanted to teach people how to play golf and the only way to do that was to turn professional. Her life has revolved around golf since finishing a Degree of Social Science (Phys. Ed. & Rec.) in 1993 and then completing a three- year traineeship with the PGA at Riverside Oak in Sydney (1994-1996).
A coach at The Grand Golf Club led into Lee’s passion for growing the game and saw her work for Golf Queensland in a development role and also taking on being a board member of the ALPG.
An influence and mentor to many young professionals, Lee has held previous roles with the WPGA as Director of Development for the WPGA (Womens Professional Golf Association of Australasia) as well as Tournament Director of the 2017 RACV Gold Coast Challenge and the 2018 and 2019 ActewAGL Canberra Classic.
Lee is also currently WGGC (Women’s Golf Gold Coast) Junior Co-Ordinator.
Lee alongside Peter have a son Cody 20 years and daughter Tara 18 years, who are both currently elite AFL and golfers. Cody is currently playing for Broady in the QAFL with Tara playing for Bond in the QAFL and in the U18 Suns Academy and All Australian U18 side.
Matt Campbell
Matt Campbell is recognised for his elite coaching and high level of communication. Originally from Newcastle NSW he now calls the Gold Coast home after relocating to commence his apprenticeship as Windaroo Lakes Golf Club. With over 15 years of experience as a golf professional Matt has held Head Professional roles at Catalina Country Club NSW and Yeppoon Golf Club in Central Queensland. During this time Matt’s passion has always been teaching and developing the game of golf. Most recently Matt has been a part of the coaching staff at The Hills International Golf Academy, working with both Australian and International students developing their games.
Matt has worked with several high-quality players, most recently coaching and mentoring 2 Time NCAA winner Ben Swaffield who is currently attending Alabama State University through their scholarship program.
Matt’s has extensive knowledge of human anatomy, physical movement patterns and injury prevention. This knowledge coupled with his ability to simplify and explain the golf swing, while tailoring each lesson to the students own physical capabilities and goals allows him to teach students of all ages and ability levels.
Greg Coulter
Stacey Edwards
Stacey is a third and final year PGA Associate, who has started her professional golf career with us.
Starting her golfing journey at Boonah Golf Club as a junior and then joining Coolangatta Tweed Heads Golf Club, she’s decided in 2022 to turn professional and work within the industry that she’s passionate about.
Working alongside Lee Harrington, as well as all our coaches, Stacey is involved with Junior golf on the Gold Coast and is passionate about continuing to develop as a leader in this area for the future.
Stacey has developed an expertise for club fitting while she is continually developing her coaching skills.
Her ability to understand and communicate with people is one of her greatest assets and is available to coach all levels of golfers.
Cody Harrington
Cody is a first year PGA Associate, who has just started his professional golf career.
Cody started his golf journey from a young age, as you do when both your parents (Lee & Peter) are golf professionals. Combining both golf and AFL eventually AFL took over and through his teenage years Cody was an elite AFL player. He was the youngest player (16 years) to win a QAFL flag with Broadbeach cats, representing both the Suns and Queensland at junior level. His dream of being drafted did not eventuate however never give up on your dream. He is continuing his AFL currently, signed with both the Broadbeach Cats and is training on with the Suns VFL side for 2025.
Cody will combine both sports for the year competing in regular Associate Monday matches alongside playing the full AFL season.
In between you can catch Cody available for golfing lessons. Hi s ability to communicate and understanding of golf, having been around it his whole life is highly motivating. Cody will head up our boy’s junior program as well in 2025.
